The 4MP Kyocera Contax i4R is switched on by pulling out a segment on the side. It reveals the lens, which then automatically pulls out.
The i4R features a Carl Zeiss Tessar T* lens with a focal length of 6.5mm. The LCD screen is 1.5 inch. The i4R can take 3 photos per second and features Kyocera's RTune image processing. The i4R measures 94x38.5x21mm and weighs 90g. Compared to the new Casio EX-S100 which measures 87.8x56.8x16.7mm. Based on volume the Kyocera Contax i4R is smaller than the Casio EX-S100.

The Kyocera Contax will ship in silver, black and lead-lead beginning of December in Japan. No price set yet. More details in Kyocera press-release (Japanese).
Kyocera also announces in the same press-release the CONTAX U4R, which replaces the Kyocera Contax SL300R T.
