Two New Fuji FinePix Cams

Two New Fuji FinePix Cams Fujifilm's FinePix line of cameras are just popping up all the time. Today we've got two new ones to tell you about. First is the S6500fd (pictured), which is a bit more advanced than most of the other FinePix cams. It takes out the slim look of the FP line and replaces it with SLR features. It's got 6 megapixels, a 2.5" viewing screen, and manual zoom, along with a 30 FPS VGA video recording mode. What sets this camera apart is its "High-Speed Shooting Mode", which lets you take shots with an almost non-existant shutter lag (0.035 seconds), in addition to a less-than-one-secord start-up lag.

It also sports "face detection", which is a great technology that has the camera automatically identify faces in a picture (up to 10) and optimizes them so that they appear as the primary focus of the pic. Additionally, there's ISO sensitivity, a feature that lets you take pics in low light without an invasive flash.
Also just announced is the FinePix F20, a more traditional take on the Fuji series. It's a sleeker camera, also with 6 megapixels and ISO sensitivity. An interesting option here is the "Natural Light & Flash" mode, which takes two rapid-fire shots, one with flash and one without, and automatically reverts to a side-by-side comparison so you can see immediately which gives the better resolution.

Other than that, there's not a whole lot to say. It's got 3x optical zoom, 30 FPS VGA video, PictBridge compatibility, and a one one-hundredth of a second shutter lag. As always, both cameras use xD cards for picture storage.
