Sony Memory Stick Pro-HG, up to 32 GB
The SanDisk and Sony Corporations have publicized the development of the "Memory Stick PRO-HG", designed to produce faster unremitting write speeds at up to 60 Mbps, and provide larger capacity. The Pro-HG seems to be designed for flash based video recorders.
"Sony and SanDisk share the common goal of providing exciting new digital audio and video applications to consumers…" said Eli Harari, Chairman and CEO of SanDisk Corporation.
Akira Kubota, President of Core Component Business Unit, Sony Corporation said "…This new IC recording media allows the speedy sharing of high definition video and digital still camera data between products." Expect for the Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo to be available in 2007.
