Canon Announces 21.1 MP EOS-1Ds Digital SLR Camera


canoneos1ds.jpgCanon introduced their new flagship digital camera for pros today called the EOS-1Ds Mark III digital SLR. This camera carries a price tag of a staggering $7999. The camera has a full 21.1MP and can shoot five frames per second.

Burst shots can shoot 56 large/fine full 21MP JPEGS and 12 RAW images. The LCD is a 3” 230,000 pixel with seven brightness settings; a 35-zone metering system, 45-point AF and integrated self cleaning sensor round out the features of the EOS-1Ds digital camera. The camera is supposed to ship in November.

Shutter speeds are 1/8000 to 30 seconds and the ISO range is 100-1600 in 1/3 stop increments. If you get one of these and plan to shoot full size pictures, you will need a monster memory card.
