Fuji Finepix S600fd Review

Just in time for Christmas the Fujifilm S600fd has just hit the store shelves.  Noted features are the 6.4mp, 1/1.7” Super CCD sensor used to wide acclaim in the F30 and F31fd and offering ‘full resolution’ shooting at up to ISO 3200.  It also has a new hardware based face detection system and a useful 28-300mm zoom range.

This all-inclusive suite packs photographic tools, raw mode, electronic viewfinder, 2.5" screen and VGA movie mode - all in a package that costs less than half what you'd pay for a budget SLR with a similar lens - and weighs less too.  Other features to note are Real photo process II; fixed 10.7x (28-300mm equivalent) optical zoom lens with twist barrel control; intelligent flash; manual, shutter and aperture-priority and program exposure modes; jpeg and raw file formats; high speed shooting mode with a shutter lag of just 0.035 seconds; high resolution 2.5 inch LCD screen; TV-quality VGA movie recording of 30 frames per second with sound; and PictBridge™ compatible for direct printing without a PC, all for $400 US or £$300 UK.

Fujifilm FinePix A500 Aquamask

If you’re looking for a camera that takes high quality pictures and is easy to use, look no further.  The Fuji FinePix A500 is the camera for you.

When paired with the Aquamask Water Proof case, this basic camera transforms into an astonishing device. The cost combined for the A500 and the Aquamask Water Proof case is under $200!   Before you rush off to snatch them up, let me do some more feature bragging.

The A500 totes the reputable Fuji Super CCD sensor; 5.1 megapixels; a 3x optical zoom lens; 1.8" LCD; excellent image quality; fast startup; excellent all weather and underwater performance with case. The waterproof case is rated to 10 feet, so it is better suited for snorkeling or general beach or boat play than as a diving camera.   Though not a mini camera, it can still fit in your shirt or pants pocket.  Power is provided by a set of AA batteries.  You can’t go wrong with this one.  Treat yourself this Christmas!

Fujifilm FinePix F31fd

In addition to the FinePix S5 pro, Fujifilm has also announced the launch of the FinePix F31fd. The most notable new feature on the camera is Face Detection Technology. This camera will automatically focus on and expose faces, rather than details that can confuse other cameras. While other Fujifilm cameras have had this feature this is the first compact "pocketable" camera to showcase it.

The camera’s fast response times, 0.01 second shutter lag and 1.5 second start-up time, ensure it will catch all the action and spell the end for missed photo opportunities. The camera also has a battery life od 580 shots. So there is no worry of a missed shot because of a slow reaction time or spent battery.

For the size this camera really seems to take the cake (or picture in this case). From its face detection to its ability to take pictures in almost every situation. The camera is equipped with the ability to take pictures at the beach, in the snow, even in low light situations such as fireworks. It looks like Fujifilm has done their homework for Photokina.

Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro

Today Fujifilm has finally announced the development of the FinePix S5 pro, the highly anticipated successor to the FinePix S3 Pro. Fujifilm is hoping that this camera will stand out from the other DSLRs due to its superior CCD SR sensor and attractive body. Unfortunately the market for DSLRs has become much more competitive since the release of the S3 Pro, but Fuji if confident that this camera will not only appeal to it's current market but appeal to an even broader range of photographers.

While most of the features are standard and common of most every other DSLR this camera has a new highly sought after feature. That feature is the ability to capture an image as RAW and jpeg at the same time. The purpose is for easy access and distribution of the smaller jpegs, while still retaining the larger size RAW file to edit on the computer.

Fuji Releases the New Finepix A700

The new Fuji A700Fuji is once again raising the bar in home photography performance. The first notable feature of this new camera is the 7.3 Mega Pixel Super CCD sensor. A quality that was once only available to professional photographers is not available to everyday consumer. And of course the feature designed specifically for the Finepix A- series, a 3x Fujinon optical zoom lens.

This camera really doesn't have anything special besides high quality images. For the most part it seems like a standard camera just geared at the ability to make high quality prints at a large size.

The camera also includes features such as a 2.4-inch LCD display, an internal memory of 12MB, and the 4 basic scene modes (Portrait, Landscape, Sport and Night). The Finepix A700 will arrive in stores early October.

Fuji Unveils S3 Pro UVIR For Forensic Investigation

Fuji Unveils S3 Pro UVIR For Forensic Investigation Fujifilm today announced a new camera that will appeal to the CSI fan in all of us - the FinePix S3 Pro UVIR. It is a DSLR camera and is the first of its kind to be able to take pictures in both the infared and ultraviolet light spectrums. While this is clearly not all that important to the average consumer, it could be very crucial to the fields of professional science. Perhaps most groundbreaking is the effect it could have on forensic science, in terms of helping analyze evidence. “Fujifilm conducted a series of tests and after seeing the results, we knew instantly the immense power this camera would bring to forensic investigation. “Fujifilm U.S.A. is thrilled to provide the brightest minds in law enforcement with technology useful in solving the country’s most complex crimes," said Darin Pepple of Fujifilm.

The S3 Pro UVIR will be available in September, but only at select retailers, and it will come with a sticker shocking price of $1,799.95.

Two New Fuji FinePix Cams

Two New Fuji FinePix Cams Fujifilm's FinePix line of cameras are just popping up all the time. Today we've got two new ones to tell you about. First is the S6500fd (pictured), which is a bit more advanced than most of the other FinePix cams. It takes out the slim look of the FP line and replaces it with SLR features. It's got 6 megapixels, a 2.5" viewing screen, and manual zoom, along with a 30 FPS VGA video recording mode. What sets this camera apart is its "High-Speed Shooting Mode", which lets you take shots with an almost non-existant shutter lag (0.035 seconds), in addition to a less-than-one-secord start-up lag.

It also sports "face detection", which is a great technology that has the camera automatically identify faces in a picture (up to 10) and optimizes them so that they appear as the primary focus of the pic. Additionally, there's ISO sensitivity, a feature that lets you take pics in low light without an invasive flash. Also just announced is the FinePix F20, a more traditional take on the Fuji series. It's a sleeker camera, also with 6 megapixels and ISO sensitivity. An interesting option here is the "Natural Light & Flash" mode, which takes two rapid-fire shots, one with flash and one without, and automatically reverts to a side-by-side comparison so you can see immediately which gives the better resolution.

Other than that, there's not a whole lot to say. It's got 3x optical zoom, 30 FPS VGA video, PictBridge compatibility, and a one one-hundredth of a second shutter lag. As always, both cameras use xD cards for picture storage.

Fujifilm FinePix F30 Review

Fujifilm FinePix F30 Review future gadget Future Technology News technology Review Cnet's Philip Ryan recently reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix F30 digital camera. He gave the camera a 7.4/10 rating.

Quote: ''The F30's features are pretty humdrum. For example, it includes a 6-megapixel CCD sensor, a 3X optical zoom lens, and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. Nonauto shooters will be pleased to see the camera's shutter and aperture priority modes, while fans of the automatic will gravitate toward its moderate selection of scene presets or just use its full auto mode.''

Fujifilm FinePix V10 Digital Camera Preview

Fujifilm FinePix V10 Digital Camera Review Camera Review player new gadget future gadget Future Technology News technology Review LetsGoDigital got their hands on the unreleased Fujifilm FinePix V10 5.1MP digital camera.

Quote:
" The Fujifilm FinePix V10 is one very nicely designed digital camera. Its huge display offers enormous comfort when taking pictures or viewing your captured moments. It is just great to see the colourful images on such a big screen.
Although there is almost no space left on the back of the camera for the necessary buttons I find the spot just below the monitor a perfectly chosen place. The resolution of 5.1 Megapixel is less than competitive brands have introduced in their compact designed cameras, but thanks to the high quality Super CCD HR image sensor and the combination of the Real Photo Technology Fujifilm offers a more powerful combination. Improving the image quality instead of simply increasing Megapixels proves to be far more worthwhile, at least in this stage..." "
